BioCity Nottingham, one of the United Kingdom’s fastest growing bioscience and healthcare business incubators and a recent collaborative partner of the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park, will be in town on Thursday, August 26th, to discuss growth opportunities for companies considering expansion into the UK:

Life Sciences in the United Kingdom – An Opportunity for Growth

The East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and BioCity Nottingham will present an overview of the life sciences industry in the United Kingdom and particularly the region of the East Midlands. The discussion will focus on the current landscape of the UK, new trends, challenges, and ways that academia, industry, and government can work together to provide new opportunities for strategic alliances and corporate growth. emda is a government agency responsible for helping companies expand into and grow within the East Midlands. BioCity provides business support, finance, labs & offices to bioscience, pharmaceutical, med-tech & healthcare companies.

The presentation begins at 10:30am and will conclude at 12 noon with a boxed lunch in the Ball Conference Room in Biotech Center. Beginning at 12:30pm, emda and BioCity representatives will be conducting 30-minute, one-on-one meetings.
