Join Team Biotech for the Monument Ave 10k and Help the Fight Against Cancer

This year’s Monument Avenue 10k promises to be the biggest and best ever.  “Team Biotech” is a past top fundraiser for the event and I’d love to see many more Park employees from Altria, DCLS, DFS, OCME, UNOS and all of the companies in the BioTech Center, One, and Eight represented. We also encourage your friends and family to participate as well.  I’ll be walking again this year, so come join me (or run ahead!) so we can let the community know that the Biotech Park has a great community of scientists and business people. I understand Sportsbackers will be selling out and closing registrations soon, so get on the website and sign up!

How to Sign Up for Team Biotech:

  • First you must sign up for the 10k at www.sportsbackers.org but move quickly because they are close to selling out!
  • Then go to www.run4massey.org and follow the prompts to “register now” and then “join a team” which would be Team Biotech
  • Once you have signed up for Team Biotech on the Run4Massey website you can get going with your fundraising, it gives you great tips on how to go about it.  It also gives you directions for entering in your donations.  Once you have entered in all your donations you can turn them into Courtney Skunda at Biotech Center (800 East Leigh Street).
  • Not sure about Team Biotech or have some general questions?  Ask one of your coworkers who is involved in the process.  They are:  Corrie Meyer (DFS) Melody Morton (DCLS) Anne Paschke (UNOS) Lisa Schaffner (UNOS) Frank Gilg (UNOS) Tami Frudden (Altria) Jose Alacaine (VCU) Allen Morris (VCU) and Maureen Kelly (VCU).  We will also hold lunch time informational sessions in each of your buildings, so please stop by!
